CIA agent Joe tries to balance his personal and professional life as the tip of the spear in the agency’s war against terrorist-based activities, etc. Referenced in Sovereign Awards (2024). I’m a fan of Yellowstone & most of Taylor Sheridan’s work. However, this is a step too far. Now, obviously things need to go wrong to advance the plot, but wow! This group of supposed special agents are inept. They ruin every hope they set their sights on. From the opening scene where the insurgents start attacking before they realize they might be bad guys, to the ridiculous decision to use an unlikely, miserable woman (the main character) to befriend a cheerful party target. That’s if it weren’t for the fact that these things are supposed to be taken seriously. Others here have stated that the main protagonist is painted as some sort of supergirl. And that’s right. She’s like a Terminator! My main problem is that she’s really unlikable.
