Season 1 covers the first 30 chapters of the book “The Wool” — there are 82 chapters in the book. The fans on the floor spin in the wrong direction in various episodes, compared to the orientation of the blades.

Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 You Need to Binge-Watch (2023). I read the Hughes trilogy a year ago and really enjoyed the books. When I was casually browsing IMDB and found THE SILO, I was immediately intrigued. I see quite a few mixed reviews, and some I can relate to, so here’s my take on the first season.
First of all, I love dystopian literature!
The dystopian genre offers a unique psychological perspective on human nature in hypothetical scenarios. My passion for the trilogy was strengthened because Hughes was able to develop Orwellian ideas in a hypothetical that is relevant to the modern world. Imagining the development of the human psyche in dystopian scenarios is a difficult task. I think Hughes did an amazing job, SILO captures most of these aspects refreshingly.
The acting is phenomenal for the central characters
It is not an adaptation in the sense that it follows the plot. It is based on the books, but of course it has to adapt to the fast-paced world of the audience. However, the series manages to capture the atmosphere of a society living in silos. In contrast to the superficial storytelling of other shows, SILO has a wonderful combination of character development and attention to atmosphere.
Naturally, it must appeal to a receptive audience
The only problem I have with the show is the lack of atmosphere development. They spend a lot of time on screen chasing and fixing Juliet. They lack the development of a silo as a societal atmosphere. Try it!
